You know the pieces that need a little love. The clothing you wear over and over and can’t imagine living without. Those thrift shop finds and hand-me-downs. Splurge purchases and impulse buys. That sweater that someone knitted just for you. That jacket that belonged to someone you loved...
Your clothes hold history. They deserve a fix at PatchPDX.

PatchPDX provides visible, invisible, and traditional clothing repairs by appointment at my workshop in SE Portland. Minor alterations are also available, but only on a limited basis for now since personal fittings aren't advisable during the Covid19 outbreak. Please call or email to discuss what alterations can be done from a safe, social distance.
Pickup and delivery services are available. To drop off mending, or to arrange for pickup, please call or email.

Individual Prices
Mending and alteration prices vary. Work takes longer by hand than sewing machine. Delicate fabrics need special handling. Finely tailored, lined, and leather goods often require an extra fee, while some mends wind up costing less. If prices vary from this list, I’ll be sure to let you know your options and estimate prices before we begin.

Stitch-in-Time

You pay for an hour or more, and I keep mending, piece after piece, after piece, until the clock runs out!

How it works:

Launder:
(Washing your mending for you uses up time!)

Sort:
Jot down what you want mended on each. This can be a note pinned to each garment or a written list.
It helps save time if you mark small mends with safety pins so that I can find them quickly.

Prioritize:
Decide which mends are most important to you and stack them in a box or basket with the most important ones on top

Drop them off, and...

Start the clock:
How many hours do you want me to spend mending?
$25 per hour / 1 hour minimum
Additional time in 30 minute increments
